1.Psychological Factors

An imbalance of calories consumed and burned may cause weight gain. Long daily commutes and sitting jobs make it harder to reduce weight.

3.Sleep Deprivation 

A review shows that short or poor quality of sleep is linked to increase the risk of obesity by making changes to the hormones that regulate appetite and hunger. Lack of sleep makes you more likely to eat more, which can further lead to weight gain by consuming more calories at night. 

4.Genetic Factors

Genetic factors play a vital role in determining your weight. Genes in your body can determine if you are more likely to have obesity. The involvement of the genetic factors in the development of obesity is estimated to be 40-70% only.

 5.Prescription Medications

Some prescription medications can cause weight gain of up to several kilos each month.

6.Environmental Factors

Environmental Factors like foods having no nutritional value but high on calories like fast foods, junk foods, package foods, these foods are no matter great to taste but a add to waist. High on consumption likely on these types of foods play a major role in the weight gain. Moreover, sometimes we have little or no access to fresh, healthy foods that also can influence weight gain.
